UFV is an accredited public Canadian university which serves 14,000 students, 2,000 of which are international students. UFV offers 17 bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, and over 100 certificates and diploma programs. Some of our most popular and well known programs include:

Affordable Tuition Fees
As a full time student you can expect spend around $19,000 per year of study. This makes UFV one of the most affordable universities in Canada! All of our undergraduate programs cost the exact same, making budgeting your expenses really easy.
Gain Canadian Work Experience
Earn money, test out career options, and launch your career now while you are studying. Through UFV’s co-op education program, students can work and get paid while still studying. Our Co-op coordinators help students to get connected with top employers in our area and beyond. Students also have the option to work on or off campus for up to 20 hours a week during the school year. Graduates can also potentially work in Canada for up to three years after they finish their studies through Canada’s post-graduate work permit.

The Fraser Valley is an incredible place to live and go to school. You are surrounded by some of B.C.’s most stunning scenery — think rolling farmland, snow-dusted mountain peaks, glacial lakes, roaring waterfalls, and thick forests threaded with hiking trails. Plus, each UFV campus resides in a friendly and ethnically diverse community that boasts plenty of opportunities for recreation and entertainment. The Fraser Valley is also conveniently close to Metro Vancouver, the U.S. border, and the Abbotsford International Airport.
On Campus Residence
Live on campus only a 2 minute walk away from all the academic buildings. All students get a private room and share a living space with only one other student. The residence building comes fully furnished and has multiple kitchens. This allows students to save money by cooking their own food! But for those students who do not want to cook we offer a wonderful meal plan option.

We love to recognize students who have worked hard to achieve top marks in their high school or post-secondary studies. After you submit your application you may qualify for one of our many International Entrance Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to top academic students and have a top value of $20,000 CDN!!

Attending a Canadian university is more then just studying and working. You want to have fun too! Take part in one of our many clubs or associations, or join us in our Global Lounge for our weekly activities and game nights. We also have a 2 large gyms, a fitness centre, and students get free access to a swimming pool.

Applicants must have completed the equivalent of Canadian Grade 12 high school and must meet program specific entrance requirements for admission.
- IELTS (Academic) – overall score of 6.5 with no band score below 6.0
- TOEFL – score of 88 or higher (iBT) with no section below 20
- CAEL – score of 70
- PTE – score of 61 with 60 in writing
- Duolingo – 110 or higher
- IB or AP English

Documents to submit with application:
- Your high school transcript(s) and proof of graduation if you have graduated from high school, or a copy of your interim high school transcript(s) if you are currently in high school.
- Your post-secondary transcript(s) from all institutions attended. Please note that evaluation of previous post-secondary credit is a requirement for admission to some programs.
- Your English language score (TOEFL, IELTS, LPI). To get your TOEFL iBT score sent automatically to UFV use code 9736 when you take the test.
- Your passport.
